Commencement Activities 2022

The Main UO Commencement Ceremony will be held on June 13, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. PT. This event will take place at Autzen Stadium, to allow the university to accommodate the graduates of 2022, 2021, and 2020 for an in-person event. All qualifying graduates from those classes are invited and welcome to bring as many friends and family members as they would like — no tickets will be required.

The Departments of Romance Languages, East Asian Languages and Literature, German and Scandinavian, Asian Studies, and Latin American Studies together are hosting a Commencement Ceremony for undergraduate and graduate majors. Please join us on Sunday, June 12, 2022 to honor you and your fellow graduates.

Undergraduate students
apply on DuckWeb. Spring deadline for the online application was April 24, 2022. If you are applying for concurrent degrees, you must submit two separate applications. If you missed the deadline, contact the Registrar’s Office for a late petition.
Graduate students apply at the Graduate School web site.

Students who graduate in Fall 2021, Winter 2022, or Spring 2022 are invited to participate in the ceremony. Students who are completing their degree in Summer 2022 are eligible to walk in the spring ceremony. Only students who apply for their degrees through DuckWeb will have their names in the department commencement program. The ceremony will be approximately two hours long. Tickets are not required for the department ceremony. Graduates may bring as many guests as they wish.

We encourage everyone to participate. If you plan to do so, please register to walk in the department ceremony by May 16, 2022 by filling out this online form. This is in addition to applying for your degree on DuckWeb. Registration is necessary to help us introduce you when you walk across the stage during the Department Commencement Ceremony. On the day of the ceremony, graduates should arrive by 9:30am at the latest. More information on the staging area for graduates will be forthcoming.

Graduates are requested to wear the traditional regalia (cap, gown, and tassel). Regalia and other items related to commencement may be purchased from the University of Oregon Duck Store.
