German Studies Committee

The German Studies Committee (GSC) is an interdisciplinary group of scholars at the University of Oregon who are interested in cultural matters associated with Germanic languages and the countries where they are spoken. The GSC brings together faculty from the Departments of German and Scandinavian, History, Music, Art History, Philosophy, Comparative Literature, and other fields, as interested. We organize and host an annual conference, provide the editorial home of the journal, Konturen, and supervise the interdisciplinary German Studies Major and Minor.
